    Description

Two Antique Mother Of Pearl Thread Winders
    English * Circa 1850
These antique silk winders are carved of lustrous mother of pearl in an unusual shape. Instead of the usual curved in shape to hold the thread, little raised square corners have been carved. Both were wrapped with silk threads, but I've unwrapped one so you can see the etching on the winders. I've wrapped the silk on cardboard and will include it so you can put it back on the winder if you'd like.
    Both are in excellent
condition with no chips, cracks or other damage.
There is a small natural flaw in the nacre on one side of the unwound winder.
They measure 2" x 1 1/8". and are etched on both sides.
I stand behind everything that I offer and
    guarantee
that it is exactly as presented.
