    Description

    Hugh Lackey Antiques
Antique Sterling Silver Ice Tongs Made In London England In 1804
    DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for sterling silver ice tongs made (I assume!) in London England in 1804 by John Blake.  They are marked with the duty mark for King George III,  lion passant for sterling, letter I for 1804 and IB for John
Blake, the silversmith.  It is interesting that there is no mark for London, but the four marks are all crisp and clear.
CONDITION:   The piece is in excellent
antique condition;  it has been polished by hand and is free of any dings, scratches or dents.
SIZE:  5 3/4" long;  handles 1/2" wide.   My scales:  total: 1.29 oz tr.
    PAYMENT
is expected within two days after purchase.   I accept returns when there is an error in the description or condition of the item.
SHIPPING:  , including insurance,  in the U. S.
